Everytime I come to Madrid, even if it is on an express trip (like now), I love to go for a walk and discover something I hadn’t seen before. Today I did that, and I found a shop I had heard of but I had seen just in a picture.

It’s called “La Cure Gourmande” (address: C/ Postas, 18, Madrid) and it sells french made biscuits. Not only the shop is beautiful, but the smell is also impressive: a mixture of butter and coconut or chocolate, it depends on what part of the shop you pass by. The fun part is they have a lot of tin boxes with vintage designs, very beautiful, which you can buy to put the biscuits you want in it and give it as an original present. If you don’t want to buy the box you can take the biscuits inside a paper bag, but I assure you it worths it to choose one of the boxes they have  because, afterwards, you can reuse them to keep there whatever you want.
I felt like in a Disneyland shop, everything was so pretty. It is one of those shops that makes you look everywhere and want everything. Plus, they let you taste some biscuits to encourage you (and they do) to buy them. The only bad thing is the prize, it is expensive. But you can always buy just some and it worths it. Or not? Siempre que vengo a Madrid, aunque sea de visita exprés (como ahora), me encanta darme al menos un paseo y descubrir alguna cosa en la que antes no me había fijado. Hoy lo he hecho y he encontrado una tienda de la que ya me habían hablado muy bien, pero de la que no había visto más que una foto.

Se llama “La Cure Gourmande” (C/ Postas, 18) y es una tienda de pastas de té de fabricación francesa. No sólo la tienda es preciosa sino que el olor es también impresionante: una mezcla de mantequilla y coco o chocolate, según por delante de qué expositor pases. La gracia es que tienen muchas cajas de latón con diseños vintage, muy bonitas, las cuales puedes comprar para meter las galletas y hacer un regalo original. Si no quieres comprar la caja puedes llevarte las galletas en una bolsa de papel, pero os aseguro que merece la pena llevarse una de las cajas que tienen para elegir porque luego las puedes reutilizar para guardar lo que quieras.

Yo me sentía como si estuviera en una tienda de Eurodisney de lo bonita que era. Era de esas que te hacen mirar a todas partes y quererlo todo. Además, te dan a probar las pastas para que te animes (y te animas) a llevártelas. Lo único malo, el precio, que es caro. Pero puedes comprar unas pocas y merece la pena. ¿O no?
